Catching up – San Cris

I just spent close to an hour carefully reading the posts that the team has written during the last ten days.  I had taken a quick look before, but I had not read the posts closely–I mainly looked at the pictures…  I am very happy to see that the team is hard at work and that they are able to see firsthand many of the things that we talked about during the semester.  And it’s nice to see that they are having a good time, in spite of early-rising roosters, cold showers, and lost socks.

The (short) trip to San Cristóbal was a great way to end the semester for me.  I really like visiting San Cris and the people at Cántaro Azul.  My only regret was not being able to spend more time there this time.  The following pictures hopefully show why I think this town is so nice to visit:

The old San Cris City Hall

La Cruz en la Plaza de la Paz (a popular meeting point in the city center

More of the Plaza…

Andador de Guadalupe at dusk. It’s nice to have these pedestrian-only streets!
